I was literally talking about this topic today with a group of believers. Unless you fully surrender you cannot truly know God or know His plan for your life and you also can’t live in the fullness of Christ here on earth.
Amen. Surrender may be one of the hardest parts of following Christ because it asks us to release the illusion that control can keep us safe.
I appreciate the reminder that surrender is not giving up or becoming passive. It is actively placing our plans, fears, timelines, and desired outcomes into the hands of the One who sees what we cannot. Jesus showed us this perfectly in Gethsemane. He honestly expressed what He desired, yet still prayed, “Not my will, but yours be done.”
Surrender is rarely a single decision. It is a daily return to the truth that God is the source and we are the stewards. We remain responsible for faithful obedience, but we release the outcome to Him.

I try to start my days and end them, offering my works, my frustrations and my hopes to the Lord. I trust in you, Jesus. Im working on letting some things go, and reminding myself several times a day to leave it in God's hands. Its harder to do some days. Im in a difficult chapter right now. I am praying a lot for God to direct my steps. Im working on my patience because I know that its God's plan not mine I need to cling to. Thank you for your article. Its part of my meditation tonight.

Today I started by asking God to give me this day my daily bread and to equip me with everything I need to soar, stride and thrive through this day with His grace. I’ve been barely making it through my days so I’ve decided to change my words to “make it through this day” to “soar, stride and thrive through this day.” It’s like something has shifted already! I just said a prayer for you that God would guide your steps as you walk through this difficult chapter and that you would cling to His perfect and sovereign plan for you and your life. 🙏🏽

I enjoyed the information for I am experiencing the nudge. I surrender and then take it back. Like I’m afraid God doesn’t know what to do.
